Late Kiltubrid surge denies Brave Bors

Our u12 girls travelled to Aughavas on Friday evening for their shield final against Kiltubrid. Kiltubrid started the match strongly going into a 2-2 to no score lead midway through the first half.

Our girls started to get to grips with the game however and went in at half time trailing by just 5 points. The Bors came out strongly in the second half and reduced the deficit to 2 points entering the closing minutes. A goal on the stroke of full time put us up by one point but two late Kiltubrid points meant it was not to be our day losing out by a single point.

However, it was a fantastic performance by our girls who showed great determination and skill thoughout the game, and they should be very proud of their efforts. This group of girls have given us great entertainment throughout the season working hard and improving with each game played .

Well done to the girls and to Ann Marie Boyle and her management team for their sterling service throughout the year. The team for the Shield final was Emma Donlon, Elana Kilraine, Blanáid Reynolds, Mary Shanley, Orla Hackett, Jolie Lyons, Megan Molloy, Katelyn Boyle, Fiona Mulligan, Rachel Mallon, Eimear Healy, Grace Duignan, Nessa O Riordan and Elly Conboy.
