Bornacoola GAA Club – Green Club Charter

Bornacoola GAA Club are committed to improving the environment of the club grounds and becoming more environmentally sustainable. To this effect Bornacoola GAA Club have joined the GAA Green Club initiative. Bornacoola GAA Club will become more environmentally sustainable by:

·  Engaging with club members, local community groups, our local authorities to communicate our actions and priorities in the Green Club initiatives.

·  Fostering understanding of how our club and community can help improve our natural environment for future generations.

·  Engaging with the youth of our club to foster greater understanding and appreciation of nature, our natural resources and sustainable living.

·  Purposefully pursuing the goals of the Green Clubs Biodiversity Theme

·  Purposefully pursuing the goals of the Green Clubs Waste Theme

·  Purposefully pursuing the goals of the Green Clubs Water Theme

·  Purposefully pursuing the goals of the Green Clubs Energy Theme

·  Purposefully pursuing the goals of the Green Clubs Transport Theme

·  Communicating our successes to the wider community to foster and develop a culture of appreciation and protection of our natural world.
