Junior C Championship 

Our game against Melvin Gales at the weekend was postponed – it now takes place this Sunday at 12.30pm in Kinlough with a place in the county semi-final potentially up for grabs. 

Rinn Gaels 

Our U17 team secured a place in the county final with a great victory over Mac Cumhaills on Saturday last. Two first half goals from Conor Reynolds were the crucial scores and put the Gaels into a 2-7 to 0-8 half time lead with an excellent second half performance ensuring a 2-13 to 0-12 victory at the final whistle. 

Ladies 

Well done to our U16 team who had a great win on Sunday morning against Drumkeerin on a scoreline of 5-14 to 3-7. They now play Annaduff B in the final next weekend

Bornacoola GAA 50/50 Draw 

Don’t forget we have two special draws remaining this year – the first at Hallowe’en on Sunday 26th October and the second at Christmas. Tickets for the Hallowe’en draw are currently on sale at https://member.clubspot.app/club/bornacoola-gaa-lgfa/fundraisers or by buying an envelope from a club member or in McGuires in Rooskey or the Copper Still.

Connacht GAA Student Bursaries 

Third level Student Bursaries are available from Connacht GAA for the 2025/2026 educational year. The scheme is open to members of the Association who are attending a full-time Higher Education course and who are active participants in their Higher Education club. Students who hold other GAA-related or a college scholarship/bursary will not be eligible to apply. Recipients will be selected based on a range of criteria, including their playing, coaching or administrative commitments to the GAA. Further information and application forms for this year’s scheme are currently available to download from www.connachtgaa.ie and the closing date is 31st October.

Scór na nÓg Leitrim 

Scór na nÓg final will take place in early November. In preparation for the night we are looking for participants, if you are interested in taking part in Scór na nOg this year please contact Deirdre McKeon on 0863907265
